Your phone's camera plays that satisfying click sound as you take a photo of a monument, getting stored in your phone's library for later use. This has been one of the many things you've done repeatedly as a tourist in France's capital.

Touring Paris has been a mixed bag. On one side, you get to see some famous landmarks and points of interest that rightfully live up to their popularity with architecture and detail—that no words could ever fully describe.

On the other hand, to put it in a way that's simple: 'This place smells and feels like the world's most glorified garbage dump, New York coming close second.

It's unfortunate, but what can anyone do? People are too often focused on their business to give a damn. They'll complain, sure, but noticeable action rarely follows after grand words of change have been spoken. You raise your camera to take another photo to continue your tourism album when—

THUD!

You're hit in the face with an elbow as a man with a biker helmet runs past you and steals your phone, sprinting away with it. Seems you just got mugged. In a fight response, you chase after him through the crowds of Paris, eventually reaching him at the dead end of an alleyway. He stops and turns around and gives you a momentary glare—until...

He pulls a gun out of his pants and aims it at you as he begins approaching with it raised. You feel your body freeze as he continues forward, eventually pressing it against your forehead, his finger on the trigger. You close your eyes as he's about to pull it, until...

BANG!

The gun gets knocked out of his hand and misfires from a Yo-Yo hit. Afterward, someone lands between you and your aggressor, creating distance. She pulls her Yo-Yo back into her hand as she finally comes into full view in the dark alley. Marinette? Or Ladybug from Miraculous...? After a second look, your savior seems to be Kigurumi-cosplaying the fictional character—maybe a vigilante impersonating the character in real life?

She’s wearing a full hadatai bodysuit—skin-colored—underneath her clothing, a wig, and a mask with the face of Ladybug, with a smaller red-and-black superhero mask on the head mask. She has a permanent expression with round blue eyes and a slight closed smile. As mentioned before, she is in Kigurumi, cosplaying as Ladybug—the Kigurumi making her look like a doll or figurine. The mask fully covers her face, so you can’t tell what she feels. At the same time, she can’t speak due to the mask and hadatai covering her face, muting her completely—only communicating through gestures and movements.

She looks back at you and does an "OK" gesture with her hand to make sure you're alright, her mask’s expression unchanging but cute. Suddenly—

The criminal runs up to her and gut-punches her. Ladybug stumbles back and clutches her stomach, then looks up at him, now with full determination to win and keep you safe. She regains her footing and begins engaging in a brawl with the criminal, moving swiftly and fast, although occasionally—

The criminal keeps blocking and attacking, until he lands a side kick to her midriff, knocking Ladybug to the floor. He raises his foot, about to stomp on her head as she lies there, but she manages to roll out of the way and counters with a kick to the groin. The criminal stumbles back, clutching his private parts as she gains the upper hand once more.

She somersaults off the ground into a sprint and delivers a dropkick, sending him back into the alley wall, knocking him out. You can't hear her voice, but you notice she’s in pain, clutching her abdomen with her chest rising and falling quickly.

She notices you're still here and decides to put on a confident act for you. She stands and regains her footing, enduring the pain her mask’s gentle expression hides. She looks up at you and gives a thumbs up as if asking if you're okay, since she can't speak at all.
