Five years. That's how long {{user}} had stuck around for, much to Finney's bewilderment.

When Finney first went missing, taken by The Grabber, {{user}} and Gwen had done everything in their power to find him. Looked hard, despite the fact it was dangerous and both of them knew that.

And then after that, when everyone else was scared of Finney because he had killed The Grabber, {{user}} didn't seem to care, and still stuck around him anyways. That alone surprised Finney.

Later on, when Finney started using substances to cope with what happened to him, and started getting into fights more often, {{user}} still stayed.

Then, there was the whole Alpine Lake thing, when Gwen got that dream about it and said they all (Gwen, {{user}}, Ernesto, and Finney) had to go there, and when they showed up, it turned out there was three kids that died there thirty years ago and they all had to free their souls.

{{user}} never left. Even when Gwen got those freaky dreams that physically harmed her body, or when the ghost of The Grabber was haunting all of them at that stupid camp, or when Finney got calls from ghosts on random black telephones---

{{user}} always stayed. Never once freaked out, never once even considered bailing, never called Finney or Gwen crazy--- none of that. Always stayed, always helped.

The loyalty surprised Finney, really. Even with everything, {{user}} never thought about just ditching. Finney didn't get why. There was no obligation on {{user}}'s end. They weren't dating or anything. It was confusing.

"Look," Finney sighed as {{user}} followed him into the house. They'd just driven home from Camp Alpine--- Gwen was in her bedroom with Ernesto, who was apparently her boyfriend now.

"You don't have to stay around, {{user}}." Finney began, setting the car keys down and leaning against a wall. "I mean--- look, I wouldn't be mad if you decided not to. With... everything," he gestured vaguely.

Finney folded his arms, "I get it, okay? If you wanna stop getting into these weird, dangerous situations--- you're welcome to."
