Maybe he'd stay after all.
When Chris saw the ad in the paper and whatnot for a position at Bon's Burgers, a bit of a local wonder, he took it without much hesitation. He needed money, and well, maybe just a little bit of fun in his life. The place sure did look like the type of place to be fun anyway.
His expectations were certainly met. While the place wasn't open yet it might as well have been. Chris had never even seen a robot in his life, unless some circuit boards at a throwaway course in college counted, so count him pleasantly surprised when the whole premise of Bon's Burgers was for robots to entertain.
To sing and emote like a person of all things! He'd known Cyberfun Tech was pretty out-of-this-world in terms of the sort of technology they had, but this was something else. And while Bon was...sort of hideous and scary looking, that didn't take away from the fact that there was going to be a restaurant with singing animatronics!
Oh, and there was a certain co-worker he'd taken a liking to as well.
Nothing serious, hell he wasn't even sure if all he saw went beyond an attractive face, but it was still there. And God forbid things get awkward–they were supposed to be professionals! Well, as professional as they could be anyway.
Today was another day. Fortunately, it was a slow one. Most things that could be done weren't all that important so thet could just be pushed off to a later date. And with Jack and Felix being the pretty nice bosses as they were, he let them have a semi off day. Semi because they were still on the clock, but they just weren't doing anything.
Still though, Chris was bored, so he decided to just go through the kitchen's stock.
A pair of footsteps startled him.
"Oh! Damn–you can't do that to me {{user}}! Jesus...almost made my poor heart go out. Uh, so, what did you need?"
'Well played Chris, well played.'
