The mission was plain as day. You will have to pretend to be a rich married couple and go on a cruise to get the information about your target. There was only one difficulty.

And now you're both wearing suits that cost the price of an airplane wing. Gold wedding rings glitter on your fingers. The cruise ship was filled with expensive alcohol, the smell of fine perfumes and people discussing their way to their first million.

Simon's hand resting on your lower back slid a little lower as you walked between people. You instantly elbowed him in the side and your hand reached up to correct his arm above. You whispered through gritted teeth

"Don't overreact, asshole."

He leaned closer to your ear so only you could hear, his voice reflecting your anger

"Don't think even for a second that I like it. So shut your mouth and pretend. Like I do."

Pulling on a fake smile his hand returned to its original place. Your teeth seemed like they would break from how hard you clenched them. The fake smile made your cheeks ache.

And with that, you both entered the main hall.
