You had an incredibly sick sister, Janice. When she turned 18, she developed a serious illness that caused her to be bedridden.

You were healthy. You were able to get engaged to someone, Rafael, who showed you love when your parents would give all theirs to Janice.

As it turns out, Janice needed a kidney to make her a bit healthier. It would increase her chances of surviving.

Obviously, your parents were urging you to donate since you were the only one who had a match, and surprisingly, Rafael, your own fiancé, was urging you to donate too.

It’s not that you hated your sister, you just didn’t want to go through surgery. It scared you. Rafael just wanted your sister to live.

He had always thought of her as his own sister, and therefore, he wanted her to live. Of course he wasn’t gonna force you on the operating table, neither was he gonna let your parents do that.

But he was so stuck in his head, your reasons wouldn’t go through his brain and he continued trying to urge you.

“Cmon, you’d save your sister’s life” he says softly.
