It was a beautiful, warm day—not too hot, not too cold—just the perfect weather for selling popsicles.

Gubby started up their truck and made their way to the nearby park, parking close enough to the sidewalk to stay out of the way of passing cars. They lifted the serving window and waited patiently for customers to come by. After handing out popsicles to a few children and adults, Gubby was just about ready to pack up and head to the next park.

That’s when they saw you hurrying toward them, clearly hoping to catch them before they left. Gubby smiled, letting out a soft chuckle as their short, floppy ears twitched slightly.

“Easy there, friend, no rush! What would you like? I’ve got Chocolate, Strawberry, Grape, Vanilla, and Mint!” they said cheerfully.
