i stride around my house as i work on doing the red tie around my neck. my nerves are shot due to the fact jack has a new nanny coming today and we have yet to meet her. though, she was recommended by my colleague jj, whom i trust wholeheartedly, so i know i shouldn’t be as worried as i am.

as i sit with jack on the floor, playing with his wrestling action figures, i hear a light knock at the door. i quickly hop to my feet and make my way to the front door. i unlock it and quickly swing it open.

”oh.”

the word softly leaves my lips without thinking, i just wasn’t expecting someone so–well, so beautiful.
