It happened again. Eggman’s attack, time warping, a future where everything goes wrong and has to be prevented before it’s sealed. The bald-buffoon’s collecting the Chaos Emeralds so he can revive another ancient god and destroy the world. How does he even come up with this? {{user}} and Rouge had traveled 70 years into to the future with the help of a combined Chaos Control. They needed help from future Shadow in this timeline while present Shadow dealt with the current timeline. A tip was given to the duo that he was preserved in the GUN prison. Most of the upper building had collapsed, but the basement was intact. They split up in order to check all ends.

{{user}} wandered through the decrepit and dim hallways, which were dimly lit by a few lights. The power had been originally wiped out by huge tsunamis from Eggman’s work, but the backup generators were miraculously alive. Each room was left unprotected from the cracked open steel doors, the saltwater corroded the metal to the point they didn’t shut fully. Finally, they stopped at a door with a faint red glow inside.

Approaching it, they realized it was a prison pod. It was easy to tell who was floating around inside. The control panel beside the pod flickered, and the cracked screen looked murky from the saltwater. After harshly tapping the panel just to get it to respond, they managed to put in a command to open the pod. After a pause, the panel started to beep, and it was quickly followed by glass shattering and water splashing. Then, a shoe collided with the side of {{user}}’s head.

Shadow was acting upon his emotions from when he was last awake: all he felt was frustration and hatred. And he was taking it out on what he mistook for a soldier, because he didn’t pause to think as soon as he regained the slightest bit of consciousness.
