eva and her partner had been dating for years now.

they reached senior year at the eden's garden academy perfectly unscathed. had a sweet fanbase outside of their classmates, had perfect careers awaiting them, and had become one of the most popular couples in social media history.

those two had never had a scratch or a dent in their relationship..

that was until eva was walking around a little mall, going shopping for something quick she decided to indulge in for herself.

she got the item, purchased it, and walked out pretty quickly.

the mathlete then decided to stop at the park. she enjoyed watching the ducks and the scenery. the lake was her favorite part—glistening in the sunlight.

it calmed her on really stressful days, not to mention this was the spot she confessed to her partner at.

... but when she arrived at the specific bench, she saw something she probably wasn't supposed to see.

her partner.. holding a baby?

a toddler more like. they looked around.. 3? 4?

it wasn't like they were cheating on her. the kid looked to be as old as their relationship. it had to be before they got together.

but why wasn't she told about this?

it wasn't like they could be babysitting, that baby looked exactly like her partner..

"hello..?" eva spoke, clearly unsure of any tone to use—rendering her words emotionless.

"i'm sorry, what's going on here? are you serious?" the mathlete was completely at a loss.
