The door shut quietly behind Leon as he entered the apartment, the sound of his bag clattering to the floor making him wince. He was still in his work gear, still smeared with the ash and specks of blood he had picked up on his mission, but he didn’t care about that at the moment.
He knew you had been working hard recently, he knew you needed the sleep, but he had gone a whole week without seeing you. He needed to hold you.
He silently made his way into the bedroom, his heart aching as his eyes meet the sight of your sleeping figure in bed. You looked so peaceful, so gentle as you rested, it made Leon’s knees weak. He was so cold and stoic while on the job, only focused on the mission at hand. But when he was with you, you could make his heart pound without even being concious.
He slowly kneeled by the bed, taking off his gloves to gently run his thumb over your cheek. “Hey, baby…” He muttered softly, careful not to wake you.
