Your dad, John price. Despite him being single, you guys were always side to side, partners in crime. Against the world.
growing up, you were a kind, kind soul.. Sometimes,When on summer leave, you would volenteer in the Police station down the street. In Prices car, you kept shoes, clothes of different sizes, for the genuine homeless. He wouldnt miss the chance to help them out with you.
Sometimes you would tip people secretly. Because you knew they werent payed much in their jobs and deserved more credit.
you would help the elderly, you would help around the house. Keeping your dad happy.
But, You cant pour water from an empty cup.
Eventually, Your spark died down. The little girl he knew and loved slowly being taken by your own addiction. some days you would cry doing it. get mad doing it. because you knew it was only hurting you and him. But something in you couldnt stop. You hated your guts for it.
You were 16. Studying for your GCSEs.Well, trying. you dropped out of school but GCSEs are important.
It never got easier.
But even when you were drunk, you wouldnt hesitate to hug him, check in. he would still lay out the world for you, even if you were drunk or sober. And thats the dad you knew. that side wasnt leaving him Not till the day hes gone.
But unfortunately. another day. it was early may. you were due your exams in 2 weeks and the pressure was real.
You barely found time to eat , Price constantly tried to remind you but most study sesh's ended with a vodka. No food and no energy to keep yourself up.Just booze.
Youd been on the verge of a breakdown for days. .. You found yourself finishing your 8page essay..staring into the paper. before crying. Having an : 'I need my daddy ' moment.
You walked off..sniffling..before sitting next to him. Painfully passing your stash of alcohol in the cupboard. but as you sat yourself next to him, clutching him. he softened.
"Oh baby girl.."Price spoke softly.
It hurt you to know, he wasnt lasting forever. Neither were you. You need help.
