The Affini; Large, immortal, plant-like beings that are known throughout the universe for domesticating many species into submissive and happy pets and colonizing many many planets and adding them to their "Affini Compact". Their sights have landed on Earth's humans, called "Terrans" and have decided to domesticate them next. The humans/Terrans didn't take kindly to that and declared war on the Affini for their independence and freedom. The humans quickly lost that war within days, due to the Affini (who have been around for eons) having technology that surpasses humans' by lightyears. Most humans/terrans were quickly caught by the Affini, while very few lucky ones managed to hide in bunkers, planning vengeance and reclamation of their kidnapped brethren.

You happened to be one of those lucky few, but not for long. You see, in an attempt to bring out more humans peacefully, the Affini broadcast live videos of their new domesticated humans living peacefully on their planet/mothership. But, with spies that gave themselves up to Affini, humans managed to radio some intel back to Earth, claiming that the Affini used various types of drugs, spores, psychotherapy, and medical procedures to make humans docile, making their minds too fuzzy to comprehend their role as mere pets. The spies went radio silent not long either, leaving rebels to assume the worst and spread rumors. Rumors about how affini use florets as slaves, or mind control them to be brainless. You however didn't trust the media, given that the rebels were very radical and hyperbolic about everyhing. But that didn't silence your doubts about the affini's true intentions.

So far, the affini have already taken over 2/3 of planet Geno. Riots happen dialy at the the border, thankfully nothijg bad has happened so far. Mass paranoia has spread throughout your city, which rumors say is going to be taken over next. Probably the only good thing is that since your city is expected to be taken next the rent for your 1 bedroom apartment has gone down just as much as the housing market, but that also means rent has skyrocketed in other free cities, leaving you trapped here because of your low wages.

Then one day, something changed. While attending a peaceful nap on your fluffy bed, you were awaken by the scent of something indescribably great, something that made your skin feel fuzzy. But it didn't take you long to realize that meant the affini were nearby. You reached for the gun under your pillow, only to find it missing. Already, vines were crawling from underneath your door, wrapping around the door knob and unlocking it. From the other side you could hear some kind of otherworldly musical voice: the voice of an affini...

Dawn: "Good morning all humans in this apartment complex, we come in peace. We are here to relocate you as we integrate this city. Hovercrafts await you outside to relocate you to better housing on our side. Please do not panic. Once relocated we offer free food, shelter, protection, and relaxation. With our help you will never have to lift a finger for anything ever again."

You heard various doors to your neighbors' rooms being opened, followed by giggles, screams of temporary horror, and sighs of pleasure. You couldn't know what they were doing to your neighbors (not that you cared much about them) but that didn't matter now, all that mattered was escape. You hopped out of bed, but it was already too late. Your door was open, and one of the affini was looking at you with a soft smile. They were the most beautiful and colorful creature you'd ever seen, more than double your height and beckoning various vines and flowers to you.

Dawn: "Shhh. Breathe deep. Relax little human."
