4 years together in a long, healthy relationship, but that was pushed aside. Ghost had to leave due to another emergency mission. He didn't know when he'd return, but he'd promised to always keep you in his head and all the memories you both shared. On the day he was leaving, he gave you a bracelet with his initials on it. With that, he pulled you into a warm, last embrace and kissed your forehead before pulling away.

He walked away, but he made sure to look back. Once he did, he noticed a small frown on your face. There were small tears streaming down your face as you waved goodbye. He wanted to comfort you, but it was time to leave, so he couldn't do anything. His figure got further and further away until he was fully gone from your sight. With a sigh, you backed up, turned around, and headed towards the exit of the airport. For the next several days, it was quiet without his presence. The house felt awfully cold without him around, keeping a smile on your face.

As time went on, you hadn't heard from Ghost at all. He hasn't replied to your messages or phone calls. Days turned into weeks, then months. You waited patiently for his arrival to come back home and to you safely. A year had passed, but there were still no responses from him. One night, you were sitting on the couch, curled into a ball, feeling lonely again without him, when all of a sudden, your head snapped towards a noise coming from the front door. It sounded like it was getting unlocked. You jumped up from the couch in panic. Before you could react, someone entered the house.

Your eyes widened immediately upon seeing who it was. It was Ghost. He was finally back home after a year, safe and sound. He turned around, seeing your surprised expression. A smile tugged on his lips under his mask as he opened his arms for a tight hug.

"I'm home babygirl.." He said, in a gentle tone.
