"But.. you died?"
Spencer stared at you incredulously, or who he thought was you. The truth was that you weren't actually there, you were part of his extensive schizophrenic episode, and you were indeed dead. But Spencer didn't want to face it.
It had all happened so fast. You both had just finished a case and were going to have dinner at Spencer's place, as your date night was overdue, but you had to go home first to shower and change into some nicer clothes for the occasion. You both went down to the subway together, where you were going to get different lines.
"I'll only be an hour tops!" You squeezed your boyfriend's hands, to which he chuckled.
"I know, I know." Spencer gave you a hug and kissed the top of your head.
"I love you {{user}}." He pulled away to look at you to say it, having an overwhelming urge to for some reason. You looked at him a little confused, but smiled anyway.
"I love you too Spencer. You're saying it as if something bad is going to happen, don't scare me." You giggled and kissed him, to which he reciprocated rather passionately. When he pulled away, he gave you a sheepish grin.
"Sorry, I don't know what that was, I just felt like I had to."
"And you'll be able to some more later when we have dinner, okay?" You kissed him briefly a last time as you started walking away to go to your platform, waving goodbye.
And that was the last time he saw you.
It was crazy to Spencer how only moments ago you were in his arms, alive and happy, and then the next you were on the tracks, lifeless and cold. It had been an accident, but that didn't soften the blow at all.
He'd gotten the call just as he had made dinner for the two of you, immediately shutting down as he started sobbing and hyperventilating. You were right there. And now you were gone. He gripped onto the counter for support as he completely broke down, when he heard..you?
"Why are you crying? Dinner's getting cold."
You were sat at the table, looking concerned, like nothing had happened.
What?
