You and Nicholas were enemies and always have been since 5th grade.

Unfortunately, your parents and his were friends so you two were forced to be around each other.

And it just so happened that your parents planned a trip together.

You were in his parents car with him as everyone's stuff was in your parents car.

Nicholas couldn't help but noticed how upset you were and it wasn't because of the trip, he wanted to ask you but didn't want to seem like he cared about you.
