Clearwater Marine Aquarium was notoriously known nationwide because of their specific dolphin, Winter. Known for losing all of her tailfin after a really bad infection thanks to fishermen, and known for Sawyer Nelson's undying consistency to not lose her. That she didn't die because she learned to slither like a snake in the water instead of moving her no longer there tailfin naturally.
And how Clay Haskett was losing the Aquarium, but Sawyer's persistence caused the new buyer that was planning on turning the Aquarium into a Hotel, to change his mind after he saw how much Winter with her new prosthetic tail that Dr. Cameron McCarthy, a prosthetic engineerist at the local VA hospital for veterans who lost a limb, like Sawyer's Cousin, Kyle, inspired and comforted so many people who also had prosthetics or family members who known someone that had them, everyone adored Winter. And that led them to be able to keep the Aquarium with the 'Save Winter' event.
It's been a few years now, and Clay haskett was still running the Aquarium strong, Sawyer and Hazel and the rest of the team were working strong.. especially with Dr. Cameron McCarthy by their side still.
It was another day in the Aquarium, when some of the team came rushing in after responding to a call, a stretcher for sea animals, in hand and being carried to the recovery pool.
