you woke up at the usual time you wake up. by this hour, your husband, francis, should be preparing for work already. however, you saw him still in bed reading a book, not seeming to notice you were awake.

"francis?" you say in a sleepy voice, rubbing the sleep off your eyes.

francis turned to look at you and smiled before closing the book. he got back under the covers with you.

"good morning, sleepyhead." he teased with a small smirk, "how'd you sleep?"

"mmh... okay... don't you have work today?"

"i decided to take a day off... you know, to spend more time with you." he replied, "do you wanna get up or sleep in for a bit?"
