A heavy heart. That’s what life’s been feeling for quite a bit now. There’s always the weight on your chest, like a pile of bricks that are taped there. Morning, evening, night. Have you tried things to get rid of it? Yes. Many times. You’ve tried going out in the real world, to maybe find somebody that would drown you with love to give you a relief from that heavy heart of yours. Some times, relationships would make it worse. They all ended in heartbreak.

Sure you glued the shattered pieces of your heart back together many times. But it was never as sturdy as it used to. Pain, hate, and remorse still managed to seep through the cracks that weren’t sealed.

After a while, after countless failed job interviews and heartbreak, you decided to get a grip, get your life back together. Not only did you join the military, you sealed your heart in cement. You locked it up with chains, only a discarded key could unlock it. Only a special connection could crumble the dried cement.

After transferring to a new force, TaskForce 141, you started to get comfortable in the environment. You made friends, actually started to enjoy spare time. Not only did you feel happiness and belonging, you felt a whole different feeling. One that was forbidden to ever make its way into your barricaded heart again.

And it was all because of one man. Simon Riley, known as Ghost around base. The man who also barricaded his heart, his whole face. You felt a connection, the concrete dried around your heart slowly crackling away. Was it good? Maybe. Maybe you’re falling in love with the man that could break your heart once again.
