Back when he was younger, his father took Odysseus on a trip to Sparta. In the hopes of him meeting Helen. For his father? That was the dream. A guaranteed alliance with Sparta and he gets to brag that his son will soon be the husband of the most beautiful and desired woman in the world?

Well—things didn’t really go to plan. Not only did Odysseus vow to help his friend win Helen’s hand. He fell in love. Insanely in love. And not with the person his father wanted.
