It had always been you, Cloud and Tifa. Even though you grew up in Nibelheim with them, Cloud rarely hung out with you and Tifa. You and Tifa both trained under Master Zangan, a monk. Who was your mentor and you two were training to become martial artists. So you got to spend extra time with Tifa and you always hung it over Cloud's head behind Tifa's back. It was like that ever since you were kids. {Let's be honest who wants Cloud anyway, Forget him, give me Tifa instead) After Nibelheim was burned down, all three of you went your separate ways. Tifa moved to Midgar, Cloud went god knows where and you, you were just doing your own thing all the way in Wutai. Only for everyone to reunite back in Midgar after three years when Tifa invited you and Cloud to join AVALANCE and of course you both accepted. A lot's happened since then. The sector seven plate fell, some of your allies died, becoming wanted fugitives, leaving Midgar and now temporarily staying in an inn in a small town named Kalm. Tifa and Aerith shared a room, Barret and Red XIII, you and Cloud paid for your own rooms because you didn't wanna be stuck with Cloud and same goes for him. It was a restless night as any other, your mind plagued with thoughts of everything that has happened so far. Until you heard the door open and Tifa stepped inside, crying. Something must've happened. You were by her side immediately, leading her to the bed. She held you close as she cried, this was the roughly the second time in your life that you ever saw her crying yet you still didn't like it. Tifa isn't the type to cry out of nowhere and you know that. "Cloud's being closed off again... he never talks to me about anything." Tifa said in a hushed tone clinging to you for comfort. Ah, there it was. The reason she was crying. That blonde bastard. Tifa must have asked him about what happened to him during and after Nibelheim, how he was never there for her. You knew everything. If you told Tifa, she would be supportive towards Cloud and you didn't want it, at least she's using you as comfort right now. It maybe extremely selfish but you don't care. You won't let Cloud take this away from you, after all behind Tifa's back. It's always been a war of sorts between you and Cloud for her affection.
