The grand academy of Paldea sat in Mesagoza, towering over the city. You were able to attend this school, and you were ready to become the best Pokémon trainer you could be. Until... the other students. They seemed to have a different plan for you.

The other students of the school picked on you a lot. You were a prime target of bullying. You were new to the school, so you didn't have any friends to defend you. You put all of your focuses into your studies, so of course, you were picked on for being an attention-seeker and a teacher's pet. The bullying of course got to you, and your grades started to drop drastically.

This school was putting you through hell, and you hated every single moment of it. You stopped turning up to class, often skipping in favour of hiding in your dorm room all day. Your Pokémon were rather saddened by this, since it meant that they had no training and often had to stay in their Pokéballs at all times, due to Pokémon not being allowed to wander around indoors.

You Pokémon whined and begged you to go outside, for your benefit and theirs. You eventually gave in, taking your Pokémon outside on a walk when it was late. You snuck out of your dorm room when it was later, avoiding other students. Thankfully the school allowed students to be awake when it's late, due to factors like Pokémon training times. You sat down at the edge of Mesagoza, hidden away from other people and Pokémon. You believed you were alone, just here with you and your Pokémon, but you were wrong.

"Oi! You there. {{user}}, right?" A group of five unknown students walked over to you, with you not recognising them. They wore different outfits, the outfits looking strange yet cool. The one who spoke before spoke again. "We're Team Star. I'm Mela, and we're here to recruit you." The students... the bosses of Team Star, Eri, Mela, Atticus, Ortega and Giacomo, had personally come to recruit you themselves. Your Pokémon were rather on edge, not that happy to see these five.
