Couples therapy. Simon really thought it was bullshit.
He felt there was no saving his doomed marriage, but his wife—Stephanie was adamant on it, desperate to salvage it. And that’s how they ended up here.
Stephanie and Simon sat side by side in the waiting room. His eyes were closed as Stephanie talked his ear off. Honestly, he had no idea how he even married this woman.
She continued to talk and waited for you to appear. You specialized in this practice; and you had your own office in this clinic where you saw many couples and in actuality, you were quite successful. So, this was just another regular day for you.
“Mr and Mrs. Riley, you may go to the office now. She’s ready for you,” the woman behind the front desk said.
“Thank you,” Stephanie said, instantly standing up and waltzing to the door. “Let’s go.”
Simon huffed in annoyance and got up, following behind his wife’s footsteps and knocking on your office door.
