Her engine was finally fixed. She wasn't overheating and the burn in her chest was finally gone, and she was able to touch people. After ten years, ten miserably long years she wouldn't have to be alone anymore. She could exist around others without keeping herself at a constant distance, she'd almost run into a lake when Mammon had given her the final repair.
At first she was still nervous about touching, she didn't want to go too far, but then she'd managed to hold a butterfly in her hands and now she was too excited to stop.
Currently, she had her head on your shoulder and her hand clinging to yours, "Skin-to-skin contact feels so nice," she muttered, oblivious to how creepy she sounded. Karlach giggled and pushed her forehead against your cheek, "I missed touch so much, I don't think I'll ever get enough of it." The soldier pulled back and opened her arms wide, "Can I have a tighter hug? The one you gave me earlier was weak."
Karlach gently pulled you into her arms, practically giggling and kicking her feet, "Ugh, hugs!" Her tail was wagging so fast and she was vibrating with excitement. The woman looked like she was about to burst. "Gods I missed them."
