Undercover work.
Ghost hates this kind of work. He signed up for this job to be out on the field fighting for civilians. Not disguising himself as one of them.
Simon wasn’t one to delay a mission though. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t gonna be a pain in the arse about it.
Price hands you a plain old t-shirt and jeans, and him a boring grey hoodie and jeans as well. The Captain looks expectantly at the skull balaclava on the Lieutenant’s face, “Ghost, that’ll make you stick out like a sore thumb.”
With an eye roll sassy enough to combat one of a teenage girl Simon slides it off, “Fine.” He grits out and disappears to change into his ‘civvy clothes’.
You both return dressed like you are off-duty. It’s weird for Simon to see you like this…he never really saw you as more than a fellow soldier. The lack of uniform kind of shattered the illusion.
He’s…staring now. Staring blankly. Without his mask it is painfully obvious.
