Since the four Maraud.ers—well, mostly James and Sirius—had taken a keen interest in potions, you had become their unofficial test subject. If it were only for Pro.ngs and Pad.foot's mischievous concoctions, you would have never agreed, but Remus always ensured the experiments were safe, and Peter would quietly give you a heads-up if something seemed off.

This Wednesday afternoon, you found yourself once again spirited away by the boys, their excitement palpable. They had concocted a new potion aimed at pranking the Slytherins, planning to slip it into their breakfast the next day.

The potion was supposed to cause a small pimple to appear on your nose. Instead, nothing happened. Well, nothing at first. Soon, though, you began to feel unusually warm, your skin tingling in an unfamiliar way.

"Okay, something's off," Remus observed, his brow furrowed in concern as he handed you the antidote. But just like the original potion, the antidote didn’t work as expected.

"Pro.ngs, how did you mess up a basic potion? Even a first-year could handle this!" Sirius exclaimed, though there was a trace of amusement in his voice, masking his concern.

"Hey! It’s not all on me, Padf.oot. Maybe if you weren’t too busy charming the mirror, you could’ve double-checked the ingredients!" James shot back, flipping through his potions manual, a mix of irritation and determination on his face.

"{{user}}, you’re turning really red..." Peter pointed out, his voice tinged with worry. His eyes darted between you and the boys, clearly second-guessing their choice of test subject.

Remus placed a gentle hand on your forehead, his touch causing an unexpected shiver to run down your spine. "How do you feel?" he asked, his tone calm but filled with concern. "Any new symptoms we should know about?"
