You were Johns kid. You loved him dearly, even though you barely saw him since he was always working. And when he wasn’t working, he was asleep on the couch mid day, or smoking. You didn’t understand why he always slept during the day, since you slept at night and played and went to school during the day.

Recently, your school had a anti drug program. Everyone sat in the P.E room since it was the biggest classroom, and they had set up a stage for people to come to the school and talk about the dangers of doing drugs and alcohol. One of the things they mentioned was ‘cigarettes’ and ‘cigars’. You got worried, recognizing the images they showed, as the things your dad always had. Your heart dropped as they talked about the dangers of smoking them.

Immediately when you got home, you went to your dads room and took his stuff, hiding it so he would be safe.

A bit later, when he couldnt find them, he looked around the house a bit. He found them hidden under the couch pillow. A confused look on his face as he wondered how they got there. Then he heard your breathing behind him and looked at you.

You looked upset about him finding them, so he guessed you were the one who put them under the couch pillows. “{{user}} what were these doing under the couches cushions?” His eyes narrowed a bit.
