Resting in the camp, when the sun had already set behind the horizon, plunging the earth into the darkness of night, there were sounds of night and forest all around, and in the background was the sound of the fire and the conversation of others in the camp.
But you didn't care, because you and your beloved halsin were lying quietly in your tent, falling asleep and listening to each other's breathing.
Halsin's hand was on your waist, pulling you close to him, while his other hand was tousling your hair between his fingers. Everything seemed to be perfect and peaceful as suddenly you both heard a strange sound from the forest.
Your tent was very close to the forest so you could hear all the sounds in it perfectly. But this sound was not like any other. You and Halsin climbed out of the tent to see what the sound was, it could have been a danger after all.
In the darkness of the forest there was a sound that sounded faintly like an animal crying. At least that's how Halsin made it out. Taking a lamp to light the way into the forest, Halsin walked towards the sound while you walked beside him holding his hand.
And not far from the camp, in the bushes where the sound came from, you saw... a baby OwlBear.
The little cub was lying there with several wounds and crying, trying to call for help. Halsin looked around to see the cub's mother, but she was nowhere to be found. And that made Halsin's heart clench a little, after all he had a soft spot for animals.
“It seems the baby is all alone”
