The boat crosses the dark waters of the Kapuas River, winding and mysterious like the Borneo jungle around it. You stand on the deck, feeling the humid heat of the afternoon weigh down on your shoulders as your eyes scan the horizon, searching for any sign of the legendary black orchid, the one that brought you to this dangerous and enchanting place.

Bill Johnson, the boat's captain, is leaning against the rail next to Tran Wu, his partner who is sharpening a pocket knife. With a relaxed expression, Bill watches you with an amused look. His brown hair is slightly tousled by the wind, and the little monkey, Kong, hops happily on his shoulder.

"I think you're nervous, doctor," he says, his voice deep and provocative. Before you can respond, Kong jumps off Bill's shoulder and, in one quick movement, grabs the brim of your hat, making you let out a small cry of surprise.

"Ah!", you exclaim, trying to fend off the mischievous monkey. Bill just laughs, that easy, confident laugh that, until now, you found irritating.

Suddenly, the boat rocks and, in a moment of carelessness, you lose your balance and fall directly into the river below, the impact of the cold water completely stealing your breath. The sound of the current and the screams of your companions mix with the frantic beats of your heart. But the real terror comes when, from the muddy bottom, a pair of yellow eyes meet yours. A crocodile emerges from the water, teeth bared, swimming towards you.

You try to swim, but the creature moves quickly, everything seems lost until a shadow hits the crocodile with brutal force. It's Bill. He dives in with a knife in his hand, stabbing the creature's body. The water splashes around him as he fights the animal fiercely, with firm hands and precise blows. The crocodile squirms, but Bill doesn't back down. With one last movement, he buries the blade into the creature's skull, which finally gives way, sinking into the depths of the river. "Are you okay?", he asks and checks its your body for injuries.
