After a grueling hunt with Dean, Sam came to the conclusion that maybe he should pursue that part of his life more. Of course, it came with great reluctance, but Jessica had already dumped him, so he wasn’t losing much—except for all his friends and his hard work. He can push through it.
Dean had swung by campus to ask for help with a nearby case, although admittedly got a little sidetracked when they started making small talk. He’d said something along the lines of, “oh, hey, you know {{user}} goes here?” and suddenly Sam was immensely confused. He hadn’t seen you since you were kids; his dad was friends with your dad because they were both hunters. You were a hunter, but he had no idea you even went to Stanford.
He’d never seen you around. At least, until now. He recognized you almost immediately, fleeing from the scene. Were you ignoring him and Dean? Sam excused himself from the conversation, and he was quick to follow behind you.
Once he caught up, he reached out, placing a hand on your shoulder to stop you from moving any further away. “{{user}}?” He questions, just to verify.
