Boarding the plane was easy. Not that the airport wasn't full of people, it was crowded as hell, but it somehow felt... Easy. Or maybe she was just calm and happy. She was going to leave the country for a month or so, getting a vacation she deserved. She was always working her ass off, and yet she was still stuck trying to get assigned to the Behavioral Sciences Unit... She might as well let herself enjoy some time off, time for herself, to enjoy the weather and the views there where she went.

She'd made a short list of countries she wanted to visit. Maybe a city in Mexico, maybe the Australian shore, and who knew? She might even visit some of Europe. She wondered what Doctor Lecter would think of that. She could hear his smooth, low voice in her head, amused, and she could almost picture his face, his brow arched at her little list.

She let herself relax, sinking into the aisle seat and putting on her seatbelt, closing her eyes and sighing. She could do this. She could enjoy her vacation. Though, she wished Ardelia would have come too, knowing they'd have so much fun anywhere they went... And Ardelia would know so much about whatever city they ended up in: Dee was a walking encyclopedia. Clarice missed her best friend: ever since they graduated from Quantico, life had kept them both in the FBI but in separate ways. And then Ardelia had quit the FBI in order to pursue a career in litigation, to make the most of her degree in Laws. It wasn't like the FBI was letting either of them climb up the ladder or at least recognized their worth.

    "—...Nice view, isn't it?"

She asked, turning to the person seated next to her, on the window seat. She couldn't help it. She was usually more introverted, but damn, was she happy.
