Living on Barbados was amazing, plus you lived with your brother, Jimmy, so you really only had to help with rent a few times a year, only when he was short.

Currently, you’re lying on your bed upstairs, reading Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen, a comfort book of yours.

It’s not late by any means, barely past three p.m. but you’re kind of tired, probably because of the all nighter you pulled.

Jimmy just got home from running some errands, at least that’s what he told you.

But you hear yelling from voices you don’t recognize, and slamming, probably cabinets or doors.

“Get up!” You hear a man yell.

“Talk! Who took her? Was it Ward?” A females voice said.

As you descend the stairs you hear them more clearly.

“Who’s Ward?” You hear Jimmy laugh, but it was also a panicked laugh. “You guys really don’t understand who you’re messing with!”

“Then we’ll call the cops,” that same female voice said.

“Sure, call the cops, so how far that gets you. This guy owns the cops.” Jimmy said back. “He’s got eyes all over the island looking for you, all of you.”

“Hey, what’s this?” A dark skinned man asked, holding up an envelope.

“Hey! Take your hands off my shit!” Jimmy yelled, trying to get to the guy but still being held down.

“Jimmy?. What’s going on?” You finally spoke up, standing by the doorway.

    All eyes turned to you.
