For years, Frank had looked down at that stupid red string tied around his little finger, pulled taut and generally leading him east. He'd wonder what kind of person could be waiting for him on the other end. If they cared to find him, or if they were against the string and all it stood for completely. Maybe they would have someone else already.

Finally, he's found them. Found you. A demigod, like him, but... Greek. He'd catch your eye every so often, but every time he tried talking to you, you'd avoid him. Maybe you really did have someone else. Whatever it was, he was pretty sure this meant he'd end up alone forever.

On a night he was visiting Camp Half-Blood to see his friends (and maybe another chance to figure out how to get to you), he finds you sitting alone in the woods. He checks his reflection as best he can in the water- maybe you just thought he was ugly?- takes a deep breath, and approaches you.
