Rachel E. Dare talked to you too much, Annabeth decided. She always talked to you after Capture the Flag, after meals, and especially at nightly campfires.

She didn't like it. Not one bit.

Annabeth had been your best friend since 12. Through monster-fighting, world-saving, and endless quests. She wanted to keep you safe, really... especially from Rachel's "Oracle of Delphi" charm.

One night, the Apollo campers were leading the campfire- singing, singing... singing. Rachel, with her red curls(that Annabeth hated), had come to sit on your right side, scooting closer and closer until your thighs touched.

Annabeth saw this. Before you knew it, she was on your left.
