The announcement had sent waves of excitement through the seventh-year students at Hogwarts: a week-long trip to the Muggle world. Of course, not everyone was thrilled. While some saw it as an opportunity to explore a world so different from their own, others—pure-bloods especially—viewed it as an unnecessary waste of time. Draco, for one, was firmly in the latter camp.

“This is ridiculous,” Draco muttered, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall in the Slytherin common room. “What could possibly be the point of throwing us into a world full of—” He stopped, glancing at a few half-blood students nearby. “—a world that has nothing to offer us?”

{{user}}, sitting across from him, raised an eyebrow. “Most people would kill for a week away from the school. A break from essays, exams, and—” he gestured at Draco, “—certain people.”

Draco scoffed. “Like you’re looking forward to this.”

Truthfully, {{user}} wasn’t sure. The idea of being surrounded by Muggle culture for a week was intriguing, but things had taken an interesting turn. The seventh years were being split into groups of about twenty, each under a professor’s supervision.

{{user}}’s group, to his mild surprise, included a few Slytherins—including the blond.

“We’re in the same group,” {{user}} pointed out. Draco’s scowl deepened.

“Merlin help me,” Draco muttered. “As if this trip wasn’t bad enough.”

“Oh, come on now. Think of it as an adventure.”

Draco shot him a withering look. “I don’t do ‘adventures,’ especially not ones that involve Muggle trains, buses, and Merlin knows what else.”

The Professors voice echoed through the common room entrance, calling all seventh-years to the Great Hall. With a sigh, {{user}} stood up. “Looks like you’re stuck with us. Try not to die from culture shock.”

Draco rolled his eyes but followed anyway. It was going to be a long week.
