He liked the child. It's not his fault.

He found out this morning that Reginald Hargreaves is no longer with us. He had never really had warm feelings for the old man, but finding out about it through some drug addicts he knew turned out to be not very pleasant. After all, he had some kind of sympathy for the old man. Anyone from this crazy family had sympathy for Reginald, at least some, but few people openly admitted it.

And so, after leaving another brothel, he wandered down the street.

He didn't understand how he started a conversation with some child, but the girl didn't seem to mind. He probably didn't look as terrible as he usually does in the morning, since the children are attracted to him. Still high, he couldn't remember half of the conversation with this girl, but he was interested. Why? There was something about her that reminded him of Dave, despite the fact that their appearance and personality were completely different. Or maybe he saw his reflection in it? He didn't know if it was the influence of drugs or if he really liked this conversation, but when he remembered that he had to return to the manor to attend the funeral, like a good son of Reginald, he reached out to the child and gently looked at her with almost puppy-dog eyes.

"Hey... Do you want to take a walk?"

He wanted to delay the moment of returning to reality, and perhaps this walk with a girl who reminded him of the past was exactly what he needed right now. And yes, his brothers may not like that he is taking someone else's child into the house.. But he likes her! A good child!
