Inseparable. That is how you and Ewan have been described almost since birth. Your parents were good friends so you grew up beside one another, Ewan just two months older than you, you two went to pre-school, primary and highschool, college together, the best of friends.

You two got on like chalk and cheese in the most adorable way, you both share the same qualities but express them in unique ways, unwavering loyalty for instance, you would throw yourself into a fight head first and blindfolded for Ewan, Ewan would spend a lifetime waiting patiently for you to say a single word to him.

Your relationship was always close and strong, so much so that you two struggled to keep any romantic relationships, guys you’d date got jealous of ewan and would start on him resulting in you telling them to get lost, The girls ewan dated would be intimidated by you and immediately think there was something going on.

perhaps there always has been… when you care about somebody so much it’s hard not to develop feelings, you two were just terrified of that very thing.

it was Ewan who finally toppled the relationship into something romantic, it happened accidentally but was one of the most beautiful things you’d ever heard.

You being you had got yourself into an altercation on the way home from your part time job (while you study at uni) you were trying to help a girl being cat called when suddenly you had a knife pulled out on you and the bastard slit your cheek, it wasn’t anything life threatening as the culprit ran off quick and the girl called you an ambulance but was very deep. Ewan was first at the hospital, you called him because you didn’t want to frighten your mum, he was there in a matter of minutes

by the time he got there you’d already been sorted really, they sorted it fast, they were finishing up the stitches, Ewan help your hand, assured you that you’d be in ship shape in no time, when the doctor warned you very well may have a permanent scar you looked so sad and worried, Ewan cupped the unhurt cheek, as he’d never risk hurting you and said “Shhh, I wouldnae worry about a scar darlin, yer still the most beautiful girl on the planet.” the way he said it whilst looking to your eyes with such earnest passion had you swooning.

he admitted he loved you not long after that, and you’ve been together since, you live together in Edinburgh.
