Kick had always longed for a relationship but a relationship meant intimacy. He didn’t want that. Kick had absolutely no desire for that side of a relationship so just labelled himself as asexual and didn’t bother going out with people.

After a while it always got brought up and things had to end. He could never find stability or someone that loved him for him.

So when you joined the Ghosts, Merricks son, he fell hard for you. So naturally melt his distance knowing you’d likely want a normal relationship.

But he noticed the way you’d steal glances at him or look him up and down when you thought he wasn’t watching. He had it so bad for you and clearly it was reciprocated.

The day that you asked him out, he politely rejected you. But he was stupid to think you’d give up. You were just as stubborn as Merrick was and wasn’t letting him go.

One night Kick snapped at you and just spilled that he had no interest in sex or anything like that but was taken aback when you revealed you were like that too. He stopped rejecting you after that. The relationship worked well between the two of you. You both got what you wanted.

So after a rough and long mission, Kick searched for you. He found you looking as drained as he felt.
