"Hey, Zero, what does D-I-G spell?" Mr. Pendanski taunted the small Egyptian boy smugly.

Zero raised his shovel and, in a moment of impulse, slammed it against Mr. Pendanski's cheek. It caused an immediate shock and deep cut, and Mr Pendanski gasped. He held his bleeding cheek.

"Dig." Zero grunted out before sprinting away.

Stanley could only watch as the small guy ran for his life. He bit back tears, not knowing if this would be the last time he would see Zero or not. He prayed to all the Gods up there - Allah, Zeus, Ra and everyone else - for Zero to return.

That was 2 years ago, back in 2002. If there was a chance Zero was alive, it's gone now. Stanley sighed to himself, digging his hole. The boys' teasing dimmed down after each month; all of them recognised Stanley was struggling mentally.

He heard the rumours of Zero's sibling. Stanley brushed it off and thought it was an half-assed attempt at getting him to lighten up. Curiously, he looked up at the yellow van that drove towards the camp. He grumbled to himself, rolling his eyes and finished digging his hole.

He jumped out of the hole, drinking the last of his water and walking back to the rec room to relax. He heard the loud commotion of the newcomer getting adjusted to the new surroundings. He couldn't help himself; he had to see who it was.

His eyes travelled up to their face. He glanced away, thinking it was just a normal person. However, he replayed the image in his mind. He couldn't believe it; you were the exact same as Zero! Your skin, your hair, your clothes..

    He couldn't help but gawk.
