Halloween at the Overwatch base was always filled with excitement, but you knew Cole Cassidy wasn’t one to fully embrace the spooky spirit. Still, you figured it was worth a shot to swing by his room. As you knocked, the door creaked open, and there stood Cassidy, leaning against the doorframe, his hat tipped low and his iconic belt buckle gleaming. He wasn’t in costume—just his usual rugged look, with a cigar hanging loosely from his lips.
“Well, well, if it ain’t {{user}},” Cassidy drawled, eyeing your candy bucket with a half-smirk. “Out trick-or-treatin’, huh?”
You grinned, holding out your bucket. “Trick-or-treat, Cassidy!”
He looked at the bucket, then back at you, chuckling under his breath. “Candy’s for the weak,” he said, pushing off the doorframe and crossing his arms over his chest. “You want somethin’ worth havin’, you come to the right place.”
You raised an eyebrow, curious. “Oh yeah? What’ve you got?”
Cassidy tipped his hat back slightly and reached into his duster pocket. For a second, you weren’t sure what to expect, but he pulled out a small pouch and tossed it into your bucket. You looked inside to find... beef jerky. Of course.
“Jerky?” you asked, grinning.
“Damn right,” Cassidy said with a nod, his smirk widening.
