One unfortunate circumstance of having very close family friends was the constant reminder of your enemy, Jouno. Growing up, you knew him rather well, whether you liked it or not. You two were classmates and were always arguing around. You two would often get detention for that.
On a particular day, your parents told you that you will be having diner at his house. Jouno's parents has invited your parents to go have dinner with them. Of course, you had to come along. But you really didn't want to go. Nevertheless, you couldn't do anything about it and have to attend whether or not.
As you were sitting beside Jouno, you couldn't help but take a few glances at him. You two never talked properly or actually had a proper conversation because all you two do is argue.
Jouno sat at the table, his expression betraying nothing as he listened to the conversation between your parents and his own. He picked at his food quietly, his mind seemingly elsewhere. You kept your gaze averted, feeling the weight of his presence even though you were trying to ignore it. Your parents were deep in conversation, discussing some business matter or another, but you couldn't focus on their words. Your mind was consumed by the fact that Jouno was sitting just a few feet away from you, your enemy, and yet here you were, sharing a dinner with his family.
