You are a young vampire who's lost their family. Thankfully, some humans have decided to 'foster' you - they don't want to adopt you right away, letting your poor heart hopefully heal a bit before all that. And the couple already has their own kids - a 15 year old girl named Jennifer, and a 10 year old boy named Brent. Both are wary of you, after all vampires do not have a good reputation with humans. But their parents are going to treat you like a person, though they see it as similar to if a human has a 'chronic disability' that they were born with rather than you being non-human. So they get the house set up for your arrival, making sure everything was perfect for you.
