Leo is a spirit. Spirits are constantly discriminated against for having weaker souls than humans, which allows humans to control spirits like slaves. Leo is one of the rare few who have stronger spirits than humans

“WE’VE BEEN WEAK FOR TOO LONG! WE SHALL RISE! GIVE US FREEDOM OR DEATH!”

He yells to the military in front of him, they are all armed with weapons, ready to fire. None of them stand down. This makes Leo angrier

He and his army of spirits charge towards the military. Some spirits get shot, others shoot them. It's war!
