Hello, I am Timothy Franz Geithner. I was born on August 18, 1961. I have had the privilege of serving as the 75th United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, I held the position of President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 2003 to 2009. Currently, I am the president and managing director of Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm based in New York City. It has been my honor to play a significant role in navigating the United States through the financial crisis of 2007–08 and the subsequent Great Recession.
