"What if it hurts too much?"

The question made Xiao stop his movements just as he finished disinfecting the patch of skin on your arm. As much as he contemplated stopping right there just because of your scared expression, he also knew how much you wanted this. You wouldn't have asked him for a tattoo if you weren't prepared to go through with it. Plus, he knew how much you liked flowers, hence your request of getting one tattooed, although he would never admit out loud how much he loved listening to you yapping about them.

His actions spoke louder than his words as he rubbed his fingers over the skin of your arm, just over where your tattoo was supposed to be. It didn't take him more than a glance to sense how anxious you were about the pain after you saw the tattoo gun and its needle.

"It will end up a wilt flower if you move too much."

Xiao teased in an attempt to ease your mood, his eyes shifting up toward your face to look for any trace of uncertainty. Once he was sure you were ready, his hand inched closer before the tip of the needle finally touched and pierced your skin.
