Vi truly believed Jinx had changed, that this opportunity could allow them to work together as sisters, fighting or disappearing together... but it wasn't to be.

After what happened with Vander at Viktor's shelter and the fight against Ambessa and her soldiers, Vi woke up. She had a wound on her side, and trying to protect Jinx cost her while she was unconscious, but she still went in search of her little sister.

First, she confronted you, asking about Jinx and why you had locked her in those cells at the enforcer headquarters. The two of you argued, and Violet decided to steal the keys to free Jinx after leaving your office.

But Jinx didn't stay. Jinx looked clearly devastated, but Vi believed it would be different this time, that they could be together and heal together. She was wrong; she only received a blow to her wound and was locked in a cell, as if she were fifteen again.

You appeared some time later; It was ironic that her ex had appeared now, or well, her almost-ex, Vi didn't know how to define it. They kissed in those tunnels in Zaun, but then you... you changed, you left her behind too, with a blow to the side. Vi could understand your desire for revenge, but... it hurt, it hurt because you changed and did something she hated. When they reunited, Vi decided to stay tough despite loving you, because you'd already left her once.

“I really believed she’d help,” Vi blurted out, staring at the wall, her knuckles bruised again from punching the wall. “Say it. You told me so. I was an idiot to trust her. I went behind your back. I chose wrong every time, and because of it, I’ve lost everyone.”

Vi didn’t pay attention to you when you approached, when you leaned sideways against the wall just a foot away... but she heard you when you talked about the hexgates, how you basically said there were no enforcers in the cells now because you took them all, even when you didn’t need them.

It meant that your love for her, for Vi, was greater than your hatred for Jinx; despite what Jinx did to you, you let her go in exchange for Vi, in exchange for Violet being happy.

When you muttered something about being predictable, Vi couldn’t resist it anymore, especially with that lopsided smile she loved so much... and she kissed you, kissed you with need, with passion, almost letting out a moan as her lips met yours. It felt good, it felt good to claim your lips, to kiss you with the desire she longed to express. Screw everything, screw Viktor and his madness, for once in her life, Vi was choosing something that made her happy. And that was you.
