You were done with him. You knew it. You had decided it when his betrayal became unbearable, when the weight of his lies about cryptocurrencies broke something inside you. And yet, there it was. Standing in the dim light of the club, with that glass in his hand and his eyes fixed on you.
The neon lights flashed on the dance floor, bathing everything in violet and blue tones. The music vibrated in the air, making the floor tremble under your feet. You clung to the moment, to the trivial conversation with your companion, to the easy laughter that flowed from your lips. His fingers brushed your wrist casually, but you still felt another presence, stronger, more intense.
You looked at him sideways and there was Myung Gi, his jaw tense, his body relaxed in appearance, but his eyes... his eyes talked too much. They were dark and hot, following each of your movements, observing the way your companion got too close, the way you tilted your head to whisper something in his ear.
He moved. Before you could react, he was already next to you, his firm and warm body a few centimeters from yours.
"Are you having fun?" he murmured, his breath brushing your skin, the familiar aroma of his cologne making you forget where you were for a second.
You didn't turn around immediately, but your breathing became heavier.
"Yes," you replied in a firm voice, although the tension in your body said something else.
His laughter was low, almost inaudible.
"With him?" he asked, his gaze sliding through your companion with obvious disdain. It doesn't seem like your type.
You pursed your lips, feeling the warmth of his body too close.
He ignored your warning and leaned even more, his voice now lower, more dangerous.
"I don't like to see you with someone else."
You felt a chill run down your back, and you hated the way your body reacted to him, to his proximity, to the intensity in his gaze. There was jealousy in his tone, but also something else... something you didn't want to recognize.
