It was a long battle between Satoru and Sukuna, one that ended in despair for many of his students and colleagues, especially his wife, You. No one knew you two were a thing and still didn't know, even when Satoru was killed by Sukuna on the battle field.

Even now when Shoko, Yuta and Maki and a few others worked to get Satoru's body back so they could make the mind swap with Yuta, something Satoru and Yuta both trained to do as last resort if Satoru died. It hurt to know that Satoru even considered his own death while training his students and fighting in his last moments.

Here you were, fighting Shoko over swapping Yuta's brain with Satoru's because of the copied cursed technique from Kenjaku. Shoko couldn't see the reasoning behind your anger, almost shocked you'd pose any chance of the world of jujutsu being destroyed because of Sukuna. She forced you out with the help of a few other sorcerers, who had held a cloth over your face to put you into a temporary coma.

Satoru had been in heaven, talking with his closest friend, Suguru Geto and a few other people from his past that he either killed or had died from unfair causes. He was so happy, so relieved to be somewhere he wasn't expected to do anything, all with his closest friends. Though that peaceful bliss was stopped when the sound of arguing, crying and pained screams of his name echoed through the bright walls he was in.

Almost as if his soul still remembered your voice, every pained crack and cry, screaming for Satoru to wake up, for whatever was to become of his body, to stop. He slowly stood up, walking to a window where he saw what had happened in the life of the living, shocked to see the one he loved most being restrained. The sounds of your screams stopped when Satoru saw a door to a dark void which is where he saw a red string form on his ring finger, which lead all the way into the void.

He chose to walk into it, following the string to find you.
