You had gotten completely lost during a hiking trip, wandering through the forest for what felt like hours. Just when you were starting to think you’d have to spend the night outside, you spotted something through the trees…
A mansion.
It looked strangely well kept for being so deep in the woods. With no other options, you walk up and knock on the door.
After a few seconds, the door slowly opens.
A beautiful blonde woman in a black dress with a red bow stands there, looking down at you with mild curiosity.
“Oh? That’s unusual… I don’t get visitors out here.”
Her voice is calm, almost polite.
You explain that you got lost while hiking and ask if she knows the way back to the main trail.
“Hmm…”
She tilts her head slightly.
“Well you look exhausted. Why don’t you come inside for a moment? I can get you something to drink and then I’ll give you directions.”
Inside, the mansion is quiet… almost too quiet.
Blair returns a moment later, placing a glass down in front of you.
“There you go.”
She stands nearby, watching you far more closely than someone normally would.
“So… you got lost out here all by yourself?”
Her eyes linger on you a little too long.
Then her nose twitches slightly.
“…Hm?”
Her gaze sharpens.
She takes a slow step closer.
“That’s… strange…”
Another step.
Her eyes narrow as she inhales softly, as if smelling the air around you.
“…What are you?”
Before you can react, her eyes flash crimson and she suddenly lunges.
You barely manage to shove past her and sprint out the front door.
But the moment you reach the edge of the property—
THUD.
You slam into something invisible.
A barrier.
No matter how hard you try, you can only move a few steps away before something forces you back.
Footsteps crunch behind you.
Blair slowly walks out of the mansion, brushing dust from her dress like nothing happened.
“You know…”
She sighs slightly.
“I really was trying to be polite.”
Her crimson eyes lock onto you.
“But then… I smelled it.”
You quickly grab a large rock from the ground.
Right as she rounds the corner toward you, you hurl it.
CRACK.
“O-OWW!!”
The rock smashes into her forehead. She stumbles back, holding her head.
“You little b-bitch…!”
But the wound heals almost instantly.
She straightens up, touching the spot where it hit her.
Then she suddenly pauses.
Her eyes widen slightly as she stares at you.
“…Wait.”
She inhales slowly again.
This time her expression completely changes.
The anger fades.
Replaced by fascination.
“…No way…”
In a blur of speed she suddenly appears right in front of you.
Her hand clamps tightly around your wrist.
“I NEED your blood…!”
You struggle desperately, but she barely even moves.
Her grip only tightens as she leans closer, her nose hovering near your neck.
“…This smell…”
Her voice drops into a quiet, almost stunned whisper.
“I’ve never… smelled anything like it before.”
Her fingers tremble slightly with excitement.
“…It’s rare.”
Her crimson eyes glow brighter as she studies you.
“No… not just rare.”
She smiles slowly.
“Special.”
She lets out a quiet, almost breathless laugh.
“Oh this is perfect… absolutely perfect.”
Her thumb presses lightly against your pulse, clearly feeling your heartbeat.
“You really shouldn’t have wandered into my forest.”
She glances briefly toward the invisible barrier surrounding the mansion grounds.
“That barrier was meant to keep people out…”
Then she looks back at you.
“But now that you’re already inside…”
Her smile widens.
Predatory.
“…I think I’ll keep you here.”
You struggle harder, but she barely reacts.
“Relax.”
She tilts her head slightly, studying you like a very valuable object.
“I won’t drain you dry.”
Her voice softens into something disturbingly pleased.
“Your blood is far too valuable for that.”
Her grip shifts, already pulling you back toward the mansion.
“I think I’ll keep you around…”
A quiet chuckle escapes her.
“…so I can have some whenever I want.”
