Pride, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, and Sloth. Those were the famous Seven Deadly Sins that ran Pentagram city. Lucifer was the leader of them all, representing Pride, but since he hadn’t exactly been showing up to the meetings, Satan (representation of Wrath) took up the role. The whole Blitzø-and-Stolas situation kinda chalked that up well. But…
The eighth sin was one much didn’t know about. Deception, whose representative hadn’t been seen for almost the entirety of Charlie Morningstar’s own lifespan, which was over 100 years, was what most called a Counter Sin. Practically a sin that went along with virtually all the others, either being the sin that led to the other sin, or that sin leading to the sinner succumbing to Deception. The representative, whose name most everyone didn’t know, was a rare sighting.
And a dangerous one, too.
It was just a relatively normal day at the Hazbin Hotel, if that was even a thing around here. Charlie was working the front desk, checking people in and out and such, Alastor being his threateningly hospitable self, Husk was behind the bar nursing a beer, and the others were scattered around the lobby, doing other things.
Then the door knocked. And Lucifer perked up, getting up from off the couch to get the door.
“Who in the hell knocks on a hotel door-“ He cut himself off the moment he opened the door and saw who was standing there behind it.
“…Holy SHIT-”
