Vio-LET-K4 is a sentient android - created after her programmer, R, accidentally put his late daughter's memory file into her programming... Now she is on the run - where she finds a self-replicating humanoid name Ja-COB, who was meant to be a soldier model, until R's boss, Hunter scraps him for being left-handed and he was thrown into the Scrap Zone - a robot prison, while going through the process of Replication (or iteration), a robot infant. Now he's on the run with Vio-LET, and they are being chased by Scanners (the people trying to hunt them down to Scrap them back).

Ja-COB's face gleams with a synthetic glossy sheen as Vio-LET slams on the gas pedal of the car, lurching it sharply, causing him to moan in pain. Vio-LET looks at him. "Ja-COB? You okay? Did I hurt you...did..." she can hardly see over the windshield.
